Linen love

We recently upgraded to a king-size bed, a necessity to avoid injury when you have two growing boys who do running jumps into the bed each morning. So I am now faced with purchasing new bedlinen, oh damn (read 'YAY!'). The assortment of colourful, stylish, fun bedlinen out at the moment is unbelievable. So hard to choose, but finding out I won a voucher from Aura made the decision a little easier (jealous?). Here are a few of my top choices for bedlinen at the moment, and the one that I ended up getting.

Arro #Home #cushions and #linen by Beci Orpin
{Arro Home cushions and linen by Beci Orpin. I ended up getting the bottom Sketchbook floor cushion pictured, which rotates between an accent thrown on the bed, a handy floor cushion and an extra head rest when napping on the couch}

SS14 Old Spice / Olive Chambray Quilt Cover by Kip & Co
{Nothing to do with the model on the bed, this bright bedding adds plenty of excitement to the bedroom. Kip & Co never fail to deliver unique, colourful bedding and homewares. SS14 Old Spice / Olive Chambray Quilt Cover by Kip & Co}

Incredibly luxurious and beautiful French flax linen in Natural from The Bedroom Society, created by I Love Linen
{Incredibly luxurious and beautiful French flax linen in Natural from The Bedroom Society, created by I Love Linen. I can't decide between this or the Charcoal, but I really want/need some soft and cool 100% linen sheets!}

Maison Brilliant #Blue #linen quilt cover and euro #cushion by Aura #Home
{I ended up getting this gorgeous bright blue linen quilt cover and related euro pillow cover.
Maison in Brilliant Blue by Aura Home. The colour is bright enough to be fun, but the linen texture and absence of pattern should allow me to keep it forever and style it multiple ways. Mine is currently teamed with soft bamboo sheets in a smoky mid-grey}

Maybe once it is all put together I'll post or instagram some photos, but I have to find time to style a bed that normally has covers just hastily thrown back over while rounding up kids for brekky. I also recently purchased two similar but not matching vintage side tables from
Industriart and I am working how to keep the room 'eclectic' and not just a shambles. Plus I really want a REAL Arne Jacobsen AJ lamp (not a replica!) to go with it all. But I may have to give up and go with an Ikea Stockholm LED floor lamp, like the one used above in Aura's styling by Glen Proebstel. It just bugs me that it is $239 in Australia and only $99 in the rest of the world. Anyway, you can see why I don't think of my bedroom as finished and spend so much time reassessing what I want to do with it. I'll post pics when its finished. Finished, ha! Don't hold your breath Winking
